Maisha Harrell-Bijou, originally from Inglewood, California, has made Covington, Louisiana, her home. She is a devoted mother to two boys, Brian and Madison Harrell, and a loving grandmother to Dakota Seth Harrell. In addition, Maisha is raising her two nephews, who tragically lost their mother during childbirth.

As the proprietor of M.Bijou Tax Service, Maisha has established herself in the field of finance. Previously, she served as a Youth Career Adult Education Specialist with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. Maisha’s professional credentials are extensive, including certifications in accounting, special education paraprofessional, pharmacy technician, and as a recent Allied Health graduate.

Renowned for her profound knowledge and dedication, Maisha is affectionately known as the ‘book of knowledge’ within her community. Her passion lies in actively supporting her local community, particularly in the West 30’s area. She commits her time to tutoring, mentoring, and providing various forms of assistance to her neighbors.

In her spare time, Maisha focuses on helping the youth with transportation, resume building, and job readiness skills. She also dedicates her efforts at the local library, where she assists older clients with resumes, housing, and unemployment issues.

Maisha firmly believes in the power of using one’s innate talents for the greater good. She considers her sharp intellect and strong mind as gifts from God, which she uses to bless and help others in any way she can.
