Rhonda Bagby is Vice President of Humana’s Louisiana Employer Group Business. She leads group sales and distribution, customer retention, the wellness program, and relationship management. She joined Humana’s Louisiana leadership team in 2005 and has held market and regional leadership roles in finance, operations and in general market management. Rhonda is from the Mississippi Delta where she started working in the business office of a community hospital. She earned a BBA in Accounting and MBA from Delta State University and later a MS in Sport Management from the University of Florida. She started her career in Jackson, Mississippi, with a regional accounting firm and later joined the Mississippi Department of Insurance as a regulatory auditor. She spent nine years with UnitedHealthcare as VP of Finance/Operations for several markets and later in a national medical economics role. She is certified as a Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise and as an Athlete Development Specialist with the Professional Association of Athlete Development Specialists. She is also currently completing her 200-hour yoga certification.
Rhonda is a CPA holding dual licensure in Louisiana and Mississippi. She is a licensed insurance producer in various southern states. She recently completed a two-year term as the Chair of the Northshore Business Council and remains actively involved with that organization as the Economic Development Chair. She is past-Chair of the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce and is a Board member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. She completed six years on the Board of Directors of Goodwill, including serving as Treasurer. She is a member of the New Orleans Business Council, a board member of GNO, Inc., and a past Commissioner for St. Tammany Corp. She has received several awards and honors, including (1) 2017 healthcare cover story in Biz New Orleans magazine, (2) 2020 Healthcare Heroes honoree, (3) Two-time New Orleans City Business Women of the Year honoree, (4)Honorary Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance, (5) The Face of Health Plans honor by New Orleans Magazine, and (5) Several Humana honors, including serving on the CEO Advisory Council, participating in Women in Leadership, selection for Healthcare Leaders 2020, and other acknowledgments. Rhonda is a wife and mother with both of her children currently in college. Rhonda remains active in the community, including currently serving as co-chair for the 2021 Northshore Heart Walk, the Advisory Board for The First Tee, the Advisory Board of the Kelly Gibson Foundation, and various other committees.
