Gin Callais, PT, DPT is the founder and clinical director of Geaux Fight Physical Therapy in Covington, Louisiana — a specialized oncology rehabilitation clinic created to serve cncer survivors in ways traditional healthcare often overlooks.

Gin’s path into oncology rehabilitation was deeply personal. Through both professional experience and personal relationships, she witnessed firsthand how cancer treatment affects not only the body, but confidence, identity, energy, and quality of life. She saw a critical gap between surviving cancer and truly living well after it — and knew she wanted to be part of changing that.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Gin pursued advanced fellowship training in manual therapy and specialized oncology rehabilitation. Gin is also 1 of only 3 Oncology Board Certified Physical Therapists in Louisiana. She founded Geaux Fight with a simple but powerful mission: to provide personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based care that empowers survivors to regain strength, mobility, and trust in their bodies again.

Today, Geaux Fight serves individuals at every stage of the cancer journey, offering exercise oncology, lymphedema care, pelvic floor therapy, manual therapy, and survivorship wellness programs. Gin and her team focus not only on physical healing, but on helping patients feel seen, supported, and capable as they rebuild their lives after treatment.

Gin’s passion for community impact extends beyond the clinic through Geaux Thrive, a newly launched nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting cancer-focused organizations across Louisiana. Rather than duplicating existing efforts, Geaux Thrive partners with grassroots groups that provide vital patient services, fund research, and offer education and support — helping them expand their reach and strengthen their missions through fundraising and community engagement.

Through both Geaux Fight and Geaux Thrive, Gin is committed to building a community where survivors are not just treated, but truly cared for — physically, emotionally, and socially. Her work reflects a deep belief that healing is about more than recovery; it is about restoring confidence, connection, and hope.

Gin is honored to be nominated alongside the incredible women of St. Tammany and is grateful for the opportunity to serve her community in a way that continues to change lives.
