| Amanda Bennett is a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Alliance, working in residential and commercial Real Estate throughout St. Tammany Parish, the Northshore, and surrounding Southeast Louisiana communities and Mississippi. Amanda affectionately calls herself “The Caffeinated Real Estate Agent,” a nod to her love of coffee and 17 years as a PJ’s Coffee Shop owner.
Amanda has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When she was 15, her parents moved the family to Saudi Arabia, where she and a friend created their own little business, making cheesecakes and cookies for events and delivering them on her golf cart. FUN memories! After earning a degree in Anthropology from UNC Greensboro, Amanda moved to Hammond in 1998. She worked in retail before opening her first small tanning salon in 2000. After expanding several times, she built a building and relocated the business in 2007 and opened Tanlines, PJ’s Coffee and Cold Stone Creamery from the ground up—all within 4 months of each other! Tanlines served more than 600 customers a day during its first busy season, her PJ’s location became one of the company’s top 10 and later top 5 locations, and she was named Cold Stone Creamery’s Rookie of the Year. Community involvement has always been important to Amanda. She has been an active member of the Hammond Rotary Club since 2016, serving on the board for more than seven years, including as Club President. She also chaired the Shamrock Run, the club’s largest fundraiser, for more than five years. Amanda spent three years dancing with the philanthropic krewe the Mande Milkshakers and now continues to support the group as a Mande Red. Amanda got her Real Estate license in 2016 and spent the next eight years balancing Real Estate with owning and operating PJ’s Coffee Shop. She sold the business in 2024 and now focuses fully on Real Estate, working with both residential and commercial clients throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Amanda brings the same relationship-driven, problem-solving approach to Real Estate that shaped her years in business and especially enjoys educating clients and being a resource before, during and after the process. Amanda lives in Madisonville with her husband, Shannon. She has two bonus sons, Zachary and Everett, two miniature Australian Shepherds, Nola and Callie, and a cat named Lily Boy. She loves traveling and makes it a priority to take a big trip each year or two with Shannon—somewhere like Egypt or Britain—while they’re still young enough to enjoy the adventure. She considers herself an “armchair travel advisor” the rest of the time. Amanda is excited to be part of Professional Women of St. Tammany and looks forward to getting to know other women in PWST, learning from their experiences, building new friendships, and finding ways to help PWST positively impact the community—all while continuing to grow her Real Estate business in St. Tammany. Now that you know a little more about Amanda, she hopes you’ll come find her and start a conversation. Her goal is to get to know the women of PWST, find ways to support one another, and build genuine business relationships. She would love to learn about you and your business, be a resource when she can, and earn your trust as the person you think of when someone you know needs a Real Estate professional.
