Pemmie Sheasby has worked her entire life. She began her career in the mid-1970s, worked her way up the corporate ladder, lived overseas, owned businesses, and learned valuable lessons along the way—through both success and challenge. Across every chapter, her faith, strong work ethic, and belief in giving back have guided how she shows up in her work and in her community.
She remains actively engaged in the local business and leadership community and is a member of the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, Professional Women of St. Tammany, and Empower Her Life. These connections reflect her ongoing commitment to supporting women, strengthening local business, and staying involved in the community she calls home.
Her professional background spans marketing, media, sales, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. She is a co-owner of MP Limited and has spent decades helping businesses and organizations grow through relationship-driven marketing and community engagement. Locally, she is well known for her work alongside Inside Northside, collaborating with businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders to support local storytelling and economic growth.
At 70, Pemmie began a new chapter as a co-founder of Courtyard Bistro and Food Lovers Marketplace in Mandeville. Rather than slowing down, she chose to build something new—bringing together food, education, and connection. Her long-term vision is to grow the business into a culinary center that supports others in the food industry, including local makers, young chefs, small producers, and anyone willing to learn, work hard, and share their passion for food.
Giving back has always been part of Pemmie’s life. She currently serves as Chair of Habitat Women Build and Chair of the Chef Soiree Sponsorship Pavilion for the Youth Service Bureau. She actively participates in ProStart through the Louisiana Restaurant Association, supporting culinary education and workforce development. She was honored as the 2025 Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West Volunteer of the Year, in partnership with the Northshore Community Foundation, and named EHL Woman of the Month—recognitions she values because they reflect service and community impact.
Married to her husband Reynolds for 43 years, Pemmie is part of a large blended family of seven children and 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She believes leadership starts at home and grows through faith, perseverance, and a willingness to keep showing up.
Pemmie is deeply humbled by this nomination and grateful for the recognition. To be acknowledged by her community—especially alongside so many accomplished women—is a meaningful honor. She believes success is not measured by titles, but by the ability to use experience to support others and strengthen the community she calls home.
