From an early age, I recognized that hard work, perseverance, and compassion would pave the path that I walked in life, both professionally and personally. Having a strong female role model to look up to, namely my Mom, I knew it would be challenging but that I could be successful.

After graduating UNO with a BA in Political Science, I began working for State Farm in the claims department in 1992. Even then, I knew I wanted more. In 2001, I became an Agent and opened my first office in New Orleans. I had found my passion – helping people prepare for and get through some of their most challenging moments in life. I had no idea at the time that, just a few short years later, we would all be recovering from one of the worst disasters in recent memory. Hurricane Katrina not only left New Orleans decimated, but the lasting impact on my office and clientele was crushing. However, I did what so many other New Orleanians did; I persevered. In 2006, I moved my office to Mandeville and began the process of rebuilding my business.

Since then, I have come to love the community on the Northshore. I’ve raised my boys here; this is my home. That’s part of the reason why I am committed to supporting those in our community doing such amazing work. The marketing focus for my business is all community based. We are a corporate sponsor for the Northshore Humane Society and support a different, local nonprofit monthly through my office’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors program. Also, we work to highlight those working behind the scenes with our monthly Volunteer Spotlight. I believe that if everyone does just a little to give back, great things can be accomplished.

In 2022, I celebrated 30 years with State Farm. Over the course of my career, there have been a number of people that have truly touched my life in a positive, inspiring way. I hope that I can be that source of light for someone else.
