Susan Willie is a lifelong resident of Louisiana, proudly calling Folsom home while making her professional mark in nearby Covington. A committed educator, business owner, community volunteer, and conservative leader, Susan has spent decades investing in the lives of local families, youth, and animals—driven by an unwavering passion to strengthen her community.
Susan graduated Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University, laying a strong foundation for her career in education. She has taught in both private and public schools across St. Tammany Parish, bringing dedication and expertise to classrooms throughout the Northshore. Recognizing the growing need for personalized learning options, Susan founded Northshore Homeschooling and Tutoring Center in Covington. Her center provides tailored academic support to students of all ages, helping them thrive academically and build confidence for the future.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Susan extends her teaching beyond traditional subjects. She actively instructs community members in reading and writing Spanish, fostering greater cultural connection and opportunity in an increasingly diverse region.
Beyond the classroom, Susan is a tireless volunteer. She works closely with local animal adoption facilities, advocating for homeless pets and supporting efforts to find them loving forever homes. Most importantly, she continues to tutor youth in the community, offering her time and expertise to ensure the next generation has the tools they need to succeed.
Politically, Susan was elected and serves as a Parish wide Chair of the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee (RPEC). In this role, she champions conservative values, promotes civic engagement, and works to unite Republicans across the parish to preserve the principles that make Louisiana strong: faith, family, freedom, and personal responsibility.
At the heart of everything Susan does is a deep commitment to making a difference. Whether empowering a struggling student to read their first book, helping a family navigate homeschooling, finding a home for a rescued animal, or leading efforts to protect Louisiana values, Susan approaches every endeavor with integrity, compassion, and determination.
Susan Willie is a mentor to other women and is a proven leader who has already spent years serving the people of St. Tammany Parish. Her life’s work reflects the belief that strong communities are built one child, one family, and one act of service at a time.
